Tiles
14 tiles are given to each player. To make a run or group, you must utilize three or more of these tiles.
- A run is defined as three or more consecutive numerals of the same color.
- As long as they are distinct colors, a group is defined as three or more of the same number.
- At any time, if you don't have a tile to play, you can add a new tile to your selection throughout your turn.
Rummikub rules
Your "initial meld," which is your first move, must be worth at least 30 points for it to be accepted. This can be any group or run of three or more tiles.
Once you've made your first move, you can change the board to get rid of more of your tiles. You can do this by moving and breaking runs, switching out group tiles for other ones, and taking out tiles. This will work as long as the moved tiles still make a legal run or group.
When the tiles start to pile up, you'll see that there are many reasonable ways to split, move, and swap tiles to make new combinations. That's the hardest and most fun part.
The Objective
In Rummikub, the goal is to get rid of all of your tiles. Think of your own ways to do that well, and have fun with the game.
You can play this form of Rummikub online against other people. You can set up a game against the computer with different levels of difficulty if you'd rather play by yourself.
